Off-Grid or On Grid?
Updated: May 15
When you think of “going off-grid,” you might picture a quick camping or hiking trip in the middle of the wilderness. However, living off grid is growing in its appeal, as a lifestyle. Many people are choosing to make off-grid living permanent. But is it right for you?
In most cases, off-grid means you are dependent on your own work and efforts to survive and thrive; growing your own food, generating your own water/electricity, legally disposing your waste, etc.
If this sounds like you, great! For everyone else where living in this manner may not be a good fit, you may consider eco or net-zero living. With these concepts, they tend to incorporate the best of both worlds. It allows you to support your environmental and financial goals with less stress.
Arguably, the most important thing is to embrace a minimalist lifestyle, reducing waste, and spending only on absolute necessities.
Whatever, your preference is, this community has a desire to support most living styles. If you haven’t figured out what works best for you, we will be there with the “hook-up” as you explore your options 😊
